Default Favorite local band still playing local gigs

I'm gonna be roadtripping soon with a couple friends and wanted to start compiling a list of possible places to stop that might have some good shows going on. Gonna be leaving sometime in December

I wish every somewhat big city. Hoping to leave from Southern California and head towards Texas then over to Florida. I'll be finishing up school so hoping to make some good memories.

I like bands that range from the Used to Incubus and Hellogoodbye to The Kooks - pretty much all rock minus the screamo stuff.
