also, BOC are currently dead to me because they're being too secretive.
Fair enough
You've been into them what a week?
You've been into them what two days?
So? They still gave it a 7.
8/10 for Myth Takes is a good rating.

Anyway, the point is you bitch about hipsters and pitchfork all the time when you're the only hipster here that i know of. You think anyone else here gives a crap about their charts being "mainstream"? That's strictly a hipster thing.

I'm sure there's some stuff we'll agree on.
We may find some common ground.

You should start an intro thread and list a few of your favourite bands, so everyone can judge you.
My friend recently moved to Nottingham, from Manchester.
With his girlfriend/fiance of 4 months at the time.
The absolute fucking pillock.
LOL, why is that? Are you a metal purist or... Just not a fan of metal in general? Yeah hopefully we find common ground, but differences are good in some ways.

Yeah I think ill do it now actually. Are there any strict rules about advertising on here? I mean if I wanted to add a link to my blog, would it be removed?
Ah right he took the plunge after 4 months eh? Brave guy. Has he said how it compares?

I'm not one of those that believes in TROO-METAL!!!!11
But I do like Metal somewhat.
I just think Nu-Metal was an absolutely dire fad, and I'm glad it died on its arse.
Deftones are Experimental Rawk, and aren't particularly great anyway.

There are rules against advertising yes, a lot of people sign up to promote their stuff before their eventual banning.
But you seem to be contributing to the forum, so I'm not sure - I think it'd be best not to post your blog but it's always best to consult a mod.

He hasn't, but he doesn't need to.
Manchester is clearly better.
That said, I wouldn't mind a change of scenery but I doubt that'd happen.

Ah right yeah I can see where you are coming from but, I'm into it a lot, I don't what else to say haha.

Damn, ok, I'll either contact a mod or just post subtle information so that people can find the blog if they want to. The link is on my profile and that.

Your'e a fan of your home city then? I've only visited manchester a couple times so I couldn't say. Nottingham isn't too bad, depends where abouts you are in Nottingham and what criteria you want to rate it on I guess.

I like how the Deftones have to be a different genre just because you don't like nu metal.

Nu metal was just like any other trend in music, most of the highly publicized bands sucked, but there were some gems if you looked for them (System of a Down, Deftones, etc.). And since I've only made this point 99 times, KoRn's self-titled from 1994 is excellent as well.

As for this current indie trend, Astro Coast is probably my favorite album of the year, but other than that the only other bands mentioned that I have heard are Wavves, No Age, and Japandroids. I don't think No Age really applies to this group, but they are awesome too. I have a Girls album and a Best Coast album around here somewhere so I'll have to get around to listening to those...

I don't give a fuck about The Deftones, they're extremely mediocre and they can stand along side a load of other Nu Metal dross for all I care.
