btw, i'm really not concerned if something is original or not...if i like it i like it....it doesn't bother me at all that bloc party sonds a lot like gang of four, i would beg to differ that franz sounds like xtc though....

The Kaiser Cheifs do sound slightly like Franz... But The Bravery are just The Killers, but crapper. The Kaisers have some much more orginal and exciting stuff and of corse bands are going to sound like each other, when you get a new, completely orginal band it's great, but I'm afraid it doesn't happen too often. Anyway, I guess it's just a matter of opinion...

i think gang of four's damaged goods is the inspiration of the kaiser chiefs whole sound in a way. but the chiefs aren't as great....i still like em though and i still haven't voted!

Its pretty obvious, but Id say Blur are th'Chiefs biggest influences, me... Did you know thats Graham Coxons momobike at the start of Saturday Night? Best BritRock collaboration by miles!
