Their EP was the first thing they released and wasn't supposed to be anything more than a demo. Most of the songs on it are repeated on Innerspeaker, though a few aren't. And the ones that are, the versions on Innerspeaker are much more polished ("It's Not Meant To Be" in particular comes to mind).

They (he?) also released a single after Innerspeaker came out, which is pretty darn good ...

"Sundown Syndrome" is a really smooth, jazz-inspired piece. Hints of Dave Brubeck.

"Remember Me" I think is a cover of ... I'm not sure.

Oh, I was referring to 2008's "Tame Impala EP", if that's what this isn't. Doesn't look like any songs you listed are on it.

The 2008 EP was the demo. I just thought I'd mention their SS/RM single as well. Separate work from the EP.

In fact, "It's Not Meant To Be" is almost in the same jazz-esque vein.

This is the only song I know of which sounds simultaneously like a bit of the Beatles, and a bit of Dave Brubeck!

Yes... a lot of their songs sound like Beatles. He sounds a lot like Lennon, although you've probably heard that a million times.

Read the comments on their Youtube videos, and yes, a zillion people note that he sounds like John Lennon.

Some comments from Kevin himself on what his next album will be like.

I hope this includes some acoustic pieces.

Kevin Parker talks new Tame Impala: "instead of a supreme pizza, it's gonna be a margherita"

Quote:
"I'm gonna try to make it a bit more minimal this time; only use what's needed," he said. "Instead of a supreme pizza, where you just throw everything on, it's kind of just gonna be like a margherita. I don't want to over-fill it."
