I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

Default Help finding Alternative bands

I am looking for some help finding some Alternative bands from the 80s & 90s. Not really my genre but I am trying to help a someone who works with me.

So far I have suggested these bands:

The Cure
Violent Femmes
Depeche Mode

Thanks!

Charlie2016, I'd recommend checking out the album Thirty Thousand Feet Over China by The Passions.

I don't ever hear much about Kyla la Grange, so I'll just leave this here:

I love the lyrics.

..(god it's really difficult to only post 1-2 videos and not an entire 20-song playlist in every recommendation thread)

Default Looking for new music that fits a specific mood

Hey there! I'm looking for music recommendations that are similar in mood to 'Chrystals' by Harp. I can't post the link yet, but it's pretty easy to find on youtube if you search that name.

Specifically, the elements that I'm looking for are the soft acoustic sound, with a slightly medieval or fantasy feel (It feels that way to me, at least). I also really like the haunting and mysterious tone, maybe a little dreamlike or surreal.

Other music I like:
Fleet Foxes
Midlake (the earlier albums)
Lord Huron

Unfortunately, none of these artists quite reach the mood I want, but it might help give you an idea of my taste?

I presume you meant this:

Nice piece. Could find a lot of folk and fold-rock that generally fits that theme. And even some New Age.

I hope the following isn't too obvious? I'm almost embarrassed to name a song that (I would think) almost everyone has heard, but these days you never know!
