Pixies + Weezer --> Wavves - Afraid of Heights
Portishead + Radiohead --> The Invisible - Rispah

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

My first post, so I might as well gush about one of my favorite bands ever. That being Lush. They were a British shoegaze band from the late 80s to the mid 90s. Great female vocals with good harmonies, and I always liked how their albums had so many different sounding songs. Definitely worth looking into, just make sure to search for "Lush band" or you may be inundated with perky 20-somethings preaching the gospel of explosively strong-smelling soaps.

Honestly, I haven't heard much by Blackmill but what I have heard, and I might be going out on a limb here because this hardly falls under the indie category.. but songs like Close To Heaven by Enigma (Though some argue it's Magna Canta).

and some of the Adventure Club remixes of songs have a bit of a similar atmospheric style.

And have you tried Tangerine Dream?

I think people have the wrong idea about these threads. It's not for you to come in randomly and suggest bands, it's for people to ask for recommendations and people to respond with recommendations.

I like to recommend The American Dollar to post-rock fans.
