Default Research Turtles

Try the Research Turtles. All their stuff is available free on their website. Cement Floor, 925, rhinestone gal are a good place to start

I really like this song it sounds similar to the tragically hip and vintage trouble.. I recommend those bands highly.

Do yourself a favor... listen Ball Park Music, they have 2 albums: "Happiness and Surrounding Suburbs" and "Museum" my personal favourite is Museum... such a flawless album.

Just a heads up that Greg Laswell is pretty good. Not sure if he's considered Indie or Alternative but in my book he is and he's damn good.

Default Indie Music Suggestions?

Hello! So I'm kind of educated on indie music. I listen to Regina Spektor or Kate Nash mostly. (At least I'm pretty sure they are indie... Maybe more folky-esque.") But does anybody have any suggestions for some indie bands or singers that are any good? I love a good female vocalist for the most part with this genre but I won't be picky. Getting bored with the mainstream stuff right now, excuse the hipster moment, but indie musicians are always pretty refreshing to me.. Thanks!

Thanks, the lead singer has a really cool voice. I enjoyed it.. I really liked the song I listened to. It's called "Great Display of Patience," the one I listened to. I'll probably look at some more stuff by them!

I like Social Studies. Not Regina or Kate, that I also like, but it's good.
