Arcade Fire

Manchester Orchestra (think their alternative)

Iron and Wine
Neutral Milk Hotel
2 Door Cinema Club

I tend to prefer more alternative rock but I'm open to anything that sounds good.
Also I'm new, hi
Nice taste in music, especially Spoon. They're one of my favorites.

Hi here !

3 recommendations :
Anything by the Resonars, they just released a new album on Burger Records "Crummy Desert Sound", "That Evil Drone" the one before is my favourite...

Then move on to "39th & The Nortons" a band originally from Sheffield now based in Paris :
I can't post URLs but search the album name "On Trial"

For something a bit more psychedelic :
Seven by Spider 72
(or you can also try his "Beaulieu Porch" other project)

Hope this helps

It's that time of the year when the Northern hemisphere starts warming up, and I'm looking to put together my annual summer listening CD.

I'm looking for anything warm, soft, and upbeat. I prefer acoustic music and music that uses a lot of unique instruments.

I'm not off to a very good start this year. So far, thanks to WNRN, I've got:

The Lone Bellow - Teach Me To Know
Moon Taxi - Gunflower
Justin Jones - I Can Feel It
The Whigs - Don't Know What We Are Doing
Theresa Andersson - Fiya's Gone
Trampled by Turtles - Walt Whitman
Good Old War - Amazing Eyes
David Wax Museum - Will You Be Sleeping

Can anyone recommend any other groups/songs?

Pretty much anything by Best Coast. Crazy For You is one of my favorites.

Looking for some bluesy alt-country (or even country), preferably featuring a pedal steel guitar. Something similar to this:

Denali- They only released 2 albums (Denali and The Instinct), but both were great cover to cover. Maura Davis is one of the most phenomenal and emotional singers I've ever heard.
