I'm considering looking into the Strokes and the Libertines a bit more. Any suggestions? I've heard one song from the Libertines, 'good old days', and I loveloveloved it. anything similar to that would be fantastic.

I wouldn't mind hearing some of The Strokes as well. Whatever album the song "Reptillia" is off.

If you're checking out The Strokes or The Libertines then you must listen to the Arctic Monkeys first couple of albums. For The Strokes fans, Tokyo Police Club would be a good target too. Hope that helps... :)

The majority of my music up to now has been 90's hip-hop, 60's psychedelic rock, and 70's progressive rock: last.fm

So far I've been listened to The Clash and Pixies and absolutely loved them.
I'm currently listening to Sonic Youth, and a bit of The Smiths.

I've got Talking Heads, Joy Division, The Verve and Radiohead's discographies downloaded to listen to, and I'm just wondering if anyone could give me some recommendations? At the moment I'm just using RYM as a guide, but if anyone could suggest some albums that'd be pretty sweet.

For an indie band with some classic influences too, check out Dinosaur Jr... :)

Arctic Monkeys are pretty good. I've listened to Favorite Worst Nightmare which was alright :)

I have a question....Is this guys music im posting below considered Indie? I really dig everything ive heard him do. I stumbled across it purley by accident but everything I click on youtube I seem to really enjoy. His name is Albert Hammond Jr. and the there is one other as well. A guy by the name of Sean Hayes who's music I really enjoy. His is kind of bluesy but im not sure if id call it that or not. Anyway I was just curious thanks.
