Does anyone here like the White Stripes?

Are they still considered to be 'together' as a band, and does anyone know if they're supposed to be putting out new stuff anytime soon?

I heard that Jack White has hinted of working with Meg on a new project. If you are missing the "White Stripes" sound, then you might want to check out the Black Keys-a similar sounding midwestern guitar/drums duo from Akron Ohio.

You should check out Gun Club, The Oblivians and The Gories - especially if you like the Stripes early albums. They may placate the wait for a new Stripes album - which will probably be disappointing when it finally comes out.

Something new

Hey guys, I'm just looking for something new.
I like music that has many layers, like symphony music.
Florence and the machine i think would be a good example.
Most things with violins, tiny bells, and/or Big drums id like as long as the singing isn't too bad. I like voices to harmonize if there is more than one singer.
If anyone has any recommendations they would be much appreciated.
If you also want to look at other music i like here is my LastFM username

You could check out Broken Social Scene, they sound like what you're describing (at least I think they do)

Thanks for the video's I liked the last two, but the first's one's vocals weren't strong enough. I'll still check out other songs by those artists, Thanks again.

Eh... I like the White Stripes, but Meg is just an average drummer. I prefer the Raconteurs because everyone contributes a bit more. Meg just... keeps the beat. Are the White Stripes considered indie? I always thought them as more blues rock.
