yet to buy their third album "some cities", just wondering what people who have invested on it think of it? black and white town is a great song.

Maybe no one likes the doves...or worse, maybe no one knows them..

The Doves just bore me to be honest.

They could probably be a good band if they put their mind to it , but everytime I hear them I hear traces of talent yet most of the songs just sound like navel gazing dirges.

I have to be in a certain mood to listen to the Doves. Oddly, I find that I'm hardly ever in that mood lately.

i suspect it has something to do with your blood alcohol level

I just hate how they don't call themselves "THE Doves".

I like the Doves in a passive sort of way.

They are pretty boring tbh. So much so that I still haven't gotten around to listening to this album. Is it worth getting?

the doves to me sound like coldplay only less catchy...

well, actually they have 4 albums not 3 and this thread ultimately loses at life because only one person hasnt added a the before their name.

There Goes the Fear
Kingdom of Rust

I would recommend them. Whoever said they sound like Coldplay is wrong. They're not amazing, but these are some quality songs that I will definitely be favoriting on grooveshark :)
