I had never heard of CatPeople before you mentioned them. I especially liked the first song, "In Silence"...although not so much for the song but for the cool video, which was fascinating in a gruesome way, just like real boxing. Have you seen the movie "Million Dollar Baby?" The video reminded me of it.
Yes! In fact, Clint Eastwood is one of my favorite film directors. It wouldn't be strange an influence from that movie. CatPeople's clips are made by Tania Verduzco, a Mexican short-film director. I recently watched a YouTube video where she said her work is very influenced by cinema.

Perhaps that Radio's end reminds you of Bono's voice in some U2's song (that's what happens to me). IMO Mexican Life and Pretty Things are their catchiest songs:

I guess that's what Verduzco wanted to attain. A stunning pin-up girl and five handsome hipster-like young musicians. So there's eroticism for everybody.
