Haha, another of my favorite bands. Long Drive (aka This is a Long Drive for Someone With Nothing to Think About) is by far my favorite, but I can't say they've ever produced a single album I didn't thoroughly enjoy. If you EVER get the chance to see these guys live, do so without thinking twice. Just seeing Isaac's face while he's singing is completely worth it.
Also, if you can get your hands on a copy of the Modest Mouse/764-Hero split album (I think it's called "Whenever You See Fit"), that's an incredible album. Though it only has one song, it's like 15 minutes long and worth every penny.

I don't understand what is so great about Modest Mouse. A lot of my friend slike them and a lot of you guys here like them too. I just don't understand why. Their music drives me up the wall. Although I do find the instrumentals to be relaxing a tad bit.

Strange how Modest Mouse are so big in the US and nobody has even heard of 'em in Europe. Most "supergroups" have a following worldwide but not MM.

I love Modest Mouse, I honestly prefer their sound from "We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank" over their earlier sound, although my favorite songs("Paper Thin Walls" and "The View") came from the earlier albums, "Dashboard" was good, although it gets old after a while, "We've Got Everything" is great. I don't like "Float On" a whole lot, but I do like "Ocean Breaths Salty" and "Dance Hall"
