I cant stress the fact that mm has been signed with epic for almost 4 years now. ever since float on got air time, everyone pretty much sh*t their pants. float on is a good song. and theyve made (i think) 7 or 8 albums, 3 have been with epic. one song got put on. just one. what would happen if some other bands that you like got airtime?
read my last post...it has nothing to do with airtime! its all about hypocracy

think of all the people out there who are now mm fans because mm got airtime, or they saw the cd... now you are one of millions who likes a band. That makes me sad because soon they will join the ranks of such s**t as simple plan and good charlotte... who cares what they used to be like, especially when they've already sold out. music is about the fun, the total awesomeness of playing in front of 200 people at the local bar, or 20 at your house, you know? it's not about the money or that kind of stuff... big bucks often mean big trouble, and there a only a few exceptions (beatles, pink floyd, etc.) no matter who you are, your fans will hate you for selling out, and everybody needs to remember that.

no icon.

well, as a total mouse junkie, I must come to thier defense, at least a little bit. there hasn't been an album they put out that I didn't love, except for the most recent one. I am afraid that they are starting to sell out... just like the foo fighters and the red hot chili peppers, the early stuff was amazing, and then the longer they go, they just start to lose it. By The Way was practicaly pop...

btw, I'm new here, so go easy on me

modest mouse is my fav band has been since 6th grade.. they're not sell outs. period. sure this newest album was mediocre.. but still. it doesnt matter how big they become they'll always be my fav. in answereing your question, my favorite ablum would have to be Lonesome Crowded West hands down. fav. song.. well thats too hard i love so many of them.. dramamine, trailer trash, karma's pavement, i came as a rat, night on the sun, teeth like god's shoeshine, or willful suspenion of disbelief.. ahhh i dunno im missing a lot theres just too many.. sheesh.

modest mouse owns all. of course they're indie what do you think? they're pop yeah. well all those ppl who think they're their biggest fans b/c they listen to "float on" on MTV can die. b/c "good news for ppl who love bad news" is merly a medicre album. and its not like they've completely 180'd their style. just b/c they got an extra guitare and new drummer. even tho. Jerimah Greene just re-joined. do you realize how many albums they have? i just try to hold tight to them and not let those "mall-core" kids bring me down with their ignorant "appreciation" for "music" no matter how big they get they'll never go to the extremes of selling out like blink, simple plan, GC, or dashboard, ever, they're orginal to the core and thats all that matters,
