trying to remember the first time i saw these guys... it was at the Garage in London, must have been 2001 or so. they put on a great show! i've seen them 6 times now, and nothing has been that night.

Long Drive is definitely my favorite. too many great tracks on that one to ignore.

the new EP is mediocre. i'm not really excited with the way their sound has been moving the last few years. they're becoming too easy to listen to :D

No, the Radisson Hotel in Galway,Ireland. You lucky sod.

Float On is such an amazing song. Really want to see these guys, what are their live shows like?

To the contrary, I find them very hard to listen to now (as in the last few-5 years).

I enjoy alot of Modest Mouse, but lately they have become way too folky. I personally enjoy King Rat alot, along with a few songs from other albums. I'm by no means a dedicated fan, albeit I do love Indie music- they are too much of a mess of sounds right now to keep my attention.

Folky is very much an exaggeration, the effect gone for is Waitsian

And if you love indie music, you've surely grown to appreciate the folky stuff considering how heavily many indie musicians are influenced by folk and country.
