being that i live where Eric's Trip is from i've heard of them just a little.
the drummer (Mark) worked at a local record shop for years, not sure if he's still there. super cool and HILARIOUS. he was far more concerned with the state of our local scene than being a star as far as i could tell. i'll always remember the time a friend of mine wanted to order a cd which turned into a rant about how much he loves big tits hahahhaa. Julie Doiron went on to have a bit of a solo thing going on. think she fronted a group called The Wooden Stars or something along those lines. if i remember right she chose to base herself out of Montreal. as far as i know the main guy behind the band (Rick White) is still based in Toronto and doing his thing from there. every 2-3 years they'll play a reunion show in town, have to assume it's just coincidence that all 3 members happen to be around at the same time. |
