It makes me sad that they don't have a thread, and when I went to search for them the only post I found was one of mine. They are experimental noise pop to the extreme, I guess they'd fit into the ****gaze genre by definition but they don't sound that much like any of the other bands that's associated with the term. I don't really know how to explain it better than that; they've released one EP and one mini album that may be my favorite album of 2009. I think it's one person, I remember reading the music and album art is a direct output from his dreams (which must be absolutely ****ing ridiculous). I'll put these up for anyone that wants it, and please ask because they're one of my favorite bands but no one seems to know who they are

I dig Railcars quite a lot, i have both their releases thanks to you and i genuinely really like both of them. I probably prefer Cities vs Submarines slightly, i love the fusion of electronica and noise pop, this guy seams them together effortlessly to create so much energy it's silly. Good call.
Theres a guy, Bobby Aherne, that works under the moniker of Dublin Duck Dispensary. He does a similiar thing, im not sure if you're aware of him, but he has a couple of exceptional releases out on Rack'n'Ruin. If you want a link to them just pm me. |
