Help Me Out
Theres alot of Indie/Alt stuff out there that I hear alot about and I never check out because I've thrown away alot of money on crap CD's. So if you could list you favorite tracks from the following acts so I (as well as others) could maybe iTunes the tracks and try em out. Anyway, thanks for any help you could give me.
Bright Eyes (I just picked up Lifted) Arcade Fire Futureheads PJ Harvey (I know shes not new but I don't know very much by her) Elliot Smith (same deal) I can't think of anyone else I want to know about but don't. If you wanna add in your own, put em up. |

im only really familiar with the futureheads- decent days and nights, A to B, hounds of love are all good tracks. i know this isnt an artist youve mentioned but check out willy mason if you havent heard of him. hes a heritage artist in the same vein as smith, rice and adams in that place him in a studio with an acoustic guitar and he'll give you an amazing album. 2 songs by him you should check out are "hard hand to hold" and "oxygen" though you've probably already heard him

Bright Eyes - Everything on Lifted I really like, particularly 'Will you?' 'Lover I don't have to love' and 'Don't know when but a day is gonna come.' Fevers and Mirrors is a good album. 'A poetic retelling of an unfortunate seduction' is another good song, but they actually brought 2 new albums out tomorrow here, they guys at the local music shop sold me them today instead so I might have a new faveourite song soon! I know lua is lyrically very good, not heard the music yet. Arienette is really popular as a song but I'm not particularly sure why.
PJ Harvey - Most of the older stuff... seriously, almost anything but 'Rid of Me' and 'Kamikaze' are good. Elliott Smith - Again most of its good. 'A distorted reality is now a neccessity to be free' and his cover of 'Harvest Moon' are worth checking out. Arcade Fire - Overrated, but i can imagine 'Wake up' being popular, its very happy, uplifting and pretty catchy. 'Crown of love' reminds me of Bright Eyes, style and lyrics wise. Futureheads - Pass. Sorry, I don't listen to them.
