The Boo Radleys
I have their album "Giant Steps" and damn, is it good but, it didn't really connect with me till today. I'm pretty sure that a few of you brits know who these guys are. Another thing, why are they tagged as shoegaze? They seem far too britpoppish to be tagged as "shoegaze".

Check out the Lazarus EP. That's probably my favorite by them. It does have a poppier sound during the choruses, but the rest of the EP sounds very shoegazey.

I'm just now getting to them, and I'm blown away! A great find.

Everything's Alright Forever
and I have the Find the Anser within ep which is later on towards their britpop phase |
Kaleidoscope EP is pretty legit (if I remember correctly)
I also remember thinking of them as a relatively boring band for all the hype they got when I was in college (keep in mind I went to college in '92, kiddies) |
Giant Steps is good, dunno about the rest of their stuff.

Ichabod & I was really good. I liked Everything's Alright Forever, though they sound a lot more Britpop like. C'mon Kids wasn't too bad as well.

I'm listening to Giant Steps right now. Amazing. I would love to hear them play live if their newer stuff is this good.

They broke up in 1999. I think one of them is a teacher, and the rest still have bands and guest appearances here and there. I think Martin Carr is the best known member of the band, he was the guitarist and gets a lot of the songwriting credits. He released some stuff as bravecaptain, and a solo album under his name Ye Gods (and Little Fishes) this year. I personally didn't think it was that good, nothing like the Boo Radleys.
