Meh, I'm biased.
I really don't like Waits, I just can't look past those dreadful dreadful vocals.
Which doesn't happen often, I also don't think his lyrics are up to much for the most part although some of his lyrics are quite good.
That said, I think Cave knows how to write a great melody. His music is certainly as good as his lyrics.
