I will, despite heaping praise for others elsewhere, have to seriously agree with the title of this thread. Although I have not heard everything, I'm seriously in total respect. The Birthday Party created some of the most serious, mind-bashing work ever, and Cave since then has a body of work that's hard to top. Loved Tender Prey (A favorite road tape "back in the day"), still remember getting Your Funeral...My Trail just shortly after when it was released and being into it as well as the Tupelo EP that introduced me to his solo work, and I still give the DVD of his videos a spin from time to time as the music is consistently classic and the amusing bits are worth viewing again - The Nick and Shane Show on "What a Wonderful World" is both jaw-dropping and great alone. I may not have got into The Good Son (a little too laid back for my ears), but it still has moments that still remain with me (The vibes still ring on, classy sounds).
