Prayers on Fire is the best Birthday Party album imo. Check it out if you haven't.

I will, thanks. This track rules.

Someone once gave me a collection of everything TBP had ever recorded, downloaded off SoulSeek I think, and it wasn't the ideal introduction cause there was just too much stuff on there including live performances etc, too much to sort through, although some of it was clearly brilliant.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

Yeah, that's not the way you want to listen to TBP. My advice - check out Prayers on Fire first and if you dig it, peep Junkyard. It's up for grabs which album is better - you be the judge.

Nick Cave is currently in my top 1001-2500. That's my 5th tier. (I don't have my rankings more fine-tuned than that.)

I want to see your top 2500 list. I can't get past 200.

I'm not going to post a couple thousand names here. Again, it's not that I have everyone ranked. It's in tiers, where they're just in alphabetical order in the tiers. Tier 1 is my top 50 just listed in alphabetical order, tier 2 is 51-250 just listed in alphabetical order, tier 3 is 251-500, etc.

Currently I've got 8 tiers with increasing numbers of artists in each tier. 8 is 10,001 up at this point. 9 would be if I get to over 20,000.

The main reason for this is for listening purposes. The higher the tier, the more often I play albums from that artist. It's a way to ensure that I'm hearing favorites more often, but also I listen systematically to avoid hearing anything so often that I get burned out on it.

Hence why it can carry so much. You keep the donkeys happy, they work for you.
