I listen to The Birthday Party's album Junk Yard quite a while ago but I stopped at the fifth song because, frankly, I ****ing hated it.

Am I a bad person now?

Yeah Junk Yard wasn't great apart from maybe the album cover. Besides the first Birthday Party album (which technically was Boys Next Door) I'd probably recommend the two 12" Mutiny and Bad Seeds EPs. They are worlds away from the later albums by the Bad Seeds though. And as far as Boys Next Door I really only like Shivers off their first album.

Huh, I randomly took a listen to Let Love In and Murder Ballads and now I ****ing love Nick Cvae & the Bad Seeds. I guess Junk Yard wasn't a good introduction to Nick Cave's stuff.

Do you mean the Hee Haw EP or the reissue that combined the Hee Haw EP with the original self-titled album?

I will have to get Prayers on Fire. I have the 12" of Nick the Stripper but haven't heard the rest of the album.

I think my favorite Nick & the Seeds album might still be 'Let Love In'. 'Loverman' is one of all time great Nick performances.

Now that Mick Harvey has moved on and Grinderman has broken up, I wonder, will the Seeds continue? Losing Blixa was bad enough, but Harvey was pretty integral to the Seeds sound and function as a working band. It will be interesting to see how Nick chooses to continue his career.
