hatemonger name on other individual who has/had a better voice than buckley? thats why he is distinguished now- because he could sing like no other, and contrary to what you somehow believe, yes it was one album, but for that particular sub-genre it was an amazing album. yes he covered a couple of songs, but he made them 10 times better.

I don`t think so
I think he`s much more diverse & a much better songwriter. Also personally I think he`s much better at creating an atmosphere in his songs much better than Buckley does. I don`t think singing a couple of ballads nicely makes you a great singer. |

Range isn`t everything , Mariah Carey has one of the best vocal ranges in music, but releases piss poor pop records.
I never said Jeff Buckley isn`t good , I just suggested I don`t think he`s great. Personally I would rather listen to Nick Cave than Jeff Buckley. You can say all you like that he only made one album & had lots of potential , but he was never around to show it. For the record I think if he did have the chance to put out more albums they would have been a hell of a lot better than Grace , and thats one of the reasons I don`t think it`s a great album. |
