Yeah so, this is one of the (5?) side projects associated with Wolf Parade. I actually didn't know WP had two lead singers so I assumed all of the side projects were Dan Boeckner's. Apparently not. :\ Well this is his one project, an indie-electro duo he made with his wife. They have two albums, the second one just leaked recently. I saw they were coming to Croatia (Sunset rubdown is also performing a week after that) so I was trying to see if they were worth the trip. I'd say this is the best WP associated project, even if it doesn't quite reach the heights of Apologies to Queen Mary...check it oot.

I'm wondering if Sunset rubdown would be better live though, seeing as how that's an actual band and shizz...decisions decision....:\

That dude is 10x taller in real life than any other picture I've seen of him. I swear he's got Marfan's syndrome or something like that.

But yeah, Boeckner's only half of it.

I had no idea this was Wolf Parade side project. Face Control is a pretty good album.

I think Swan Lake has a new album this year too. (one of their members use to be in Republic of Freedom Fighters???!! what?)

WOLF PARADE. He's the lead guitarist!

Damn fine show he put on too, but it looked like he was a rubber band ready to snap.

Plague Park is a pretty good album.
If you're going to see one band live i'd watch Handsome Furs. Sunset Rubdown ... there's just too much going on for me, but their live shows are closer to what Wolf Parade does live.

I like Sunset Rubdown and Handsome Furs. The latter will be at SXSW this year. Should be quite the show.
