Default The Dan Auerbach Thread

Dan Auerbach's first solo release Keep It Hid dropped in stores today, 2/10/2009.

What do you think?

I gave it a blitz on my way home from Best Buy (made it through basically a verse and chorus of each song), and I'm about to give it a few full spins. So far, I love it!!

It's a lot different than The Black Keys, but that was to be expected. You can't buy this album looking for the same sound, that's why it's a solo project, it's stuff that Dan didn't feel meshed with the Keys' sound. Anyway, it has a vast array of tracks-- and so far it hasn't disappointed!

Check it out, and leave your thoughts!

And you're surrounded by the ones you blah
Death shows up... anddd blah, blah, blah.

Frontman in two-piece blues-rock group (whose only other member is the percussionist) decides to start a blues-rock solo act.

He obviously needed more creative control.
