Default Paavoharju

Finnish ambient folk pop music with a lo-fi mentality (very hard to describe, actually). Rather beautiful; one of their albums got hyped by Pitchfork a few months back.

Lemme know if anybody wants any ups.

I quite liked that, I'd love to hear more.

Wow, that's some of the most interesting music I've heard lately. It would make me happy to hear the rest of the album.

Just got done listening to Yhä Hämärää and I really enjoyed it. One of the better albums I've heard as of late. I'll give Laulu Laakson Kukista a listen later. They kind of remind me of Cocorosie, with all the random electronic noises.

I listened to an album of theirs once and didn't like it much, I'll give it another shot.

Yea, I agree with Manny, good album. Very atmospheric and intense.

Lau Nau is another notable Finnish musician that is worth checking out. Both have a similar sound a but, I prefer Lau Nau.

there's loads of nice Finnish artists/bands on Fonal Records. Paavoharju may also be on that label, I am not sure.
