Pavement: Slanted & Enchanted vs. Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain
A few days ago I wrote and article that answered the above question.
The article is on a website hosted by Triond, so the more people that view it and say they like it, the more money I get. So will you support a fellow MB contributor who only works one day a week in fighting the recession? Oh, and the article is pretty fun and informative, I like to think. Remember: Read, comment, and at the bottom click on "I Like It" (if you liked it, of course). Thank you Slanted & Enchanted vs. Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain

i think both s&e and crooked rain are two of the most unfairly overrated albums of the 1990s. Crooked Rain in particular never comes even close to earning its merit.
Course, not to say either are crap, because they're not. I've actually always been impartial to slanted & enchanted and think it a really good record (i have less kind words for crooked rain). But why they are afforded quite AS much esteem as they are will forever remain a mystery. |
