Default Wintersleep

I've been listening to this band a bit lately and they've some really excellent songs that just grow on you. Their new album Welcome to the Night Sky is just brilliant. Any other fans?

I bought Welcome To The Night Sky thinking that it would be filled with songs like "Weighty Ghost," which is brilliant.

But how wrong I was! I sold the album in haste. But I still love "Weighty Ghost."

saw them live like two weeks ago, my university hosted some sort of concert with Wintersleep and a couple of other bands at the Metropolis.

Good band.

Yeah i love Weighty Ghost, but best song off Welcome To The Night Sky in my opinion is Archaeologists, it sticks in your head for ages.

Archeologist was actually one of my least liked tracks on the album. The only other two tracks I could listen to without cringing were "Dead Letter" and "Miasmal Smoke" ... and maybe the first song. So the album wasn't terrible, but when you expect the folky awesomeness of Weighty Ghost and instead get alternative rock... eh...

Sure, but when your best song sounds nothing like the rest of the album, and I mean absolutely nothing like the rest of the album, then maybe you should reconsider your approach : P

I was going to make a thread, but I guess I'll just bump this.
This band should not be slept on by any one. Much love.

Night Sky is a good album but nothing beats the S/T and Untitled. So disappointed I missed them touring with The Wooden Stars a couple years ago.

I came across this band a few weeks ago and couldn't find anything about their new album, New Inheritors. The sounds similar to Welcome to the Night Sky. I really like Preservation off the knew album, which has a decent music video. I don't think its as good as Welcome to the Night Sky, but once I become more familiar with it, who knows.
