I didn't think it was possible to top Funeral (easily my all time favorite before Neon Bible came along) but, somehow, Arcade Fire pulled it off. I think Neon Bible is a great progression over their last masterpiece and if they keep going at this rate, they are going to go down as one of the best baroque bands ever in my opinion.
When I first got Neon Bible (about 4 months ago or so) I was blown away. I can appreciate every single track on the album but some of my favorites are No Cars Go (remake) Windowsill, The Well and the Lighthouse, and Keep the Car Running. I, without a doubt, recommend the purchase of this album. You will be one satisfied customer if you liked any piece of Funeral. |

I've had funeral for a while and I just got Neon Bible recently. I haven't listened to it too much, but I really enjoy No Cars Go and the Well and the Lighthouse. They're a great and unique band. I'm glad to see that they'll stick around for quite a while.

just picked it up to day and im very impressed with the album. its not a clone of the first, it differs which is good. its clear i need to play this with better speakers then im using at this moment to fully appreciate the atmosphere that the songs give off. Funeral is better then Neon Bible, but that is to be expected since second albums dont have high reputations to be outstanding. But over all i was very pleased
best tracks: black mirror, keep the car running, (antichrist television blues) and my body is a cage
