Arcade Fire
does anyone like arcade fire? they are new, just came out with "Funeral" its a great cd.

Awesome album. I got my tickets to see them here in LA and am really looking forward to it. I hear they're even better live than on CD. Definitely one of the best of the year.

hell yeah, arcade fire kicks arse. I got the funeral album, and I tried going to thier show like a week ago, but i couldnt. so I am getting tickets for the january show. It's gonna own!

Right so i`ll probably get flamed to hell for this because it seems if you don`t agree with popular opinion you`re 'arrogant' or 'elitist' but what the hell i`m past the point of caring what people think.
Seriously i`ve seen so many normal rightminded people go nuts about this album declaring it the best thing ever , people who`s opinions & tastes I normally hold dear , wetting themselves over it like R Kelly at a primary school. Yet it`s one of the dullest things i`ve ever heard, there are already a million bands that sound like this lot , what are they doing to deserve such praise? Seriously every song to me just sounds like a monotonous drone.The thing just has no life in it.Easily the most over rated album i`ve heard since the first Interpol album. So what is so great about this record ? Please tell me where the originality & the genius is because I don`t see it. And no 'oh but it`s great' replys either Thanks. |

Ummm it seems that the elitist indie masses are revolting already! I've seen hundreds and hundreds of bands live, and I have hundreds of albums...
The Arcade Fire would probably be in the top 10 live acts that I've managed to see in my time. |

I can understand if people don't like The Arcade Fire, but dislike them because they're monotonous? Blasphemy. I've heard Win Butler go from crooning softly to singing his heart out in one song. They use dynamics a lot, maybe you just weren't paying close enough attention. Some songs change suit drastically. When they were writing "Crown of Love," maybe they were thinking, "Wouldn't it be interesting to go from a ballad to...Guess what? A DISCO." Amazingly enough, it works out for them. But anyway, the best thing about The Arcade Fire are their live shows. They have so much energy. The drummers use almost every part of the stage as a drumset, including the scaffold twenty feet high and...Each other. With crash helmets. Regine Chassagne sure can rock out to the accordian, too. |

Ok, Keep the car running and No cars go are by far my favorite, they're so freaking awesome I can't help but to smile and dance when listening to them. Especially arround 2:58 of No cars go, when the trumpet solo kicks in, I swear to God I lose control over my body. Fucking brill!!

Well I never listened to it. The songs I heard just never sparked an interest and that was a while ago so I'm not even sure what I'd think about it now. I just want to listen to Neon Bible.
