Bowerbirds
I found the bowerbirds the other day while I was looking for some more folk music, and i really like the way they sound. They are awesome because they have a lot of accordian and acoustic in their songs, and the vocals are very good. I would love to post a video, but i cant because i dont have enough posts. If i were to post a video i would choose the song "In Our Talons".
check out the songs "Hooves", "Dark Horse", and "Oliver Hearts". |

I came across this album in 2007. This band are particularly cutting-edge among the folk genre, in fact I'd say there's little that's really much like them. With that said, much of it is unlistenable and bad song-writing.

Thats to bad you dont like them, I find that the fact that they are different is the reason that I like them. This music is listenable and to say their song writing is bad is not appreciating that different-ness.

Can't agree there. Far as I'm concerned, any music that focuses on the song must have an essential focus on two things, namely melody and harmonic arrangements. This can NEVER be compromised for the sake of being different, else it defeats the purpose of song-writing. Bowerbirds only manage to come up with one or two good actual songs, with the rest just being messy, overly-whimsical and disjointed.
