I love the new sound, but I was hoping he wouldn't go the Sufjan Stevens route and stay mostly folk.

I can't believe more people aren't discussing this EP thingy he's got out because the songs are wildly different and really good.

Anyhow, I think Summer in Savannah is one of the funkiest song I've heard in awhile, though its hornless. Which is ****ing nuts. Its equivalent to Prince taking the bass out of When Doves Cry.

Hokai, that's not what I meant. I meant it's his worst release. I love it, but it lacks the depth and down-to-earth storytelling sound of his other nearly perfect works.

If I weren't going to bed, I'd tell you how wrong you were. We've only heard 3 songs and Walking Far from Home is incredible.

It was o.k. Glad I heard all three songs and it's cool that he is going in new direction but these three songs are songs that I will never listen to again and were mediocre at best.

nearly perfect works? my ass. the beatles are nearly perfect. iron and wine is pretty good.
