They are from Portland, Oregon. They have a very unique sound and a even more outrageous stage presence. They have two drummers because they do not have a traditional drum-set, they use more individual snare and bass and bongos sort of thing. There is a guitar and a bass player and also a mandolin/banjo player. They also utilize cowbell, washboard and tambourines. They are very folksy.
I saw them live last night and thought they were great, the recordings do not do them justice. But you can still check them out if you want.
