Miles benjamin Anthony Robinson
i just picked up his self-titled about a week ago. i've only listened through twice, with about 30 or so listens to the opening three tracks, and it's pretty impressive. if it were a house in a neighborhood where everyone lived next door to someone a lot like them, it'd be surrounded by sunset rubdown's shut up i am dreaming and will oldham's i see a darkness album. if you're into that sort of thing, it's definitely worth a listen.

He did a Daytrotter session a while back and did a nice version of Dylan's "You Ain't Goin' Nowhere"

A bump for this thread because I just recently discovered Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson's self titled record. I really love to hear songs so ramshackled and almost drunk sounding it seems as if there is a good chance the singer won't even make through the entire song, which is what I got from this album. It's weary and intense sounding, and for a guy only twenty-six years old, the lyrics and his voice make him sound much older. But what I love most is that I was able to find a singer-songwriter who instead of sounding soft and pretty which is what I hear to often these days, I heard gruff and somewhat self-deprecating. The first song I heard was this one YouTube - Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson - Buriedfed It's called "Buriedfed" although originally I didn't even finish listening to it until I found it's most definitely a build-up song.

****ing love him, I have had "Buriedfed" on repeat for a few weeks now. I haven't been able to catch him live yet. Any know if he's any good live? I would Youtube it but I'd honestly rather see him live before sifting through dozens of crappy camera phone videos.
