Sun Kil Moon
Has anyone heard of this band? I've recently become a huge fan of Mark Kozelek's work (Red House Painters, Sun Kil Moon). His body of work is unreal. I highly suggest checking out his music.
If you're a fan of his music, what's your favorite songs. Also, can you recommend me similar bands? I would recommend checking out his Benji album, or April. |

Benji is by far the best record released since 2000. It's an absolute masterpiece. So good it's frightening. Listening to it is like having the pain of another human being injected into you intravenously.

The collab between Sun Kil Moon / Jesu from this year wasn't that great, tbh.
The instrumentation was at times too raw and harsh to understand what Mark was saying. But, he gets more & more personal with every release from him. Definitely listen to "Beautiful You" from that record : Jesu / Sun Kil Moon |

Not to mention that Jesu's instrumentation is some of the most phoned in and uninspired metal I've ever heard. I was excited for that one, too.
