Your deflection of subject conversation is legendary. BJH are hardly a cult band and John Mayalls Bluesbreakers are probably THE quintessential British Blues Rock band. Both originally hail from Manchester.

To answer your original post: Joy Division serve up a grey depressed demeanour coupled with an intelligence and resilience that best describes my view of Manchester. I see a lot of similarities with B'ham.
