Back in the day her paintings stirred up quite a lot of controversy of the "...but is it really art?" kind.

I really lucked out as a young listener in the 90s. I bought a CD copy of Ladies and Gentlemen... blind knowing nothing about the artist and impulsively made the purchase based solely on the intriguing prescription-themed packaging.
I fell in love with the album and discovering that it was none other than Dr. John on keys for "Cop Shoot Cop" was just icing on the cake. I later picked it up on vinyl and bought it again a third time to grab the limited edition 180g blue wax pressing. I'm hoping to one day claim a copy of the original blister pack edition. There's also a 2CD box set which offers listeners a glimpse of various stages of unmixed tracks and is a treat for aspiring audio engineers and for fans of the album eager for more sonic bliss. Great stuff.
