Give it a shot, Spiritualized is very accessible, more so than Spacemen 3, and most of J. Spaceman's work is very good (save Amazing Grace), but that could be me.

It depends where you're coming from, If you are really into punk, early Spacemen 3 but, if you are the average person Spiritualized is for you.

I've still not got the big deal about this band, much much much prefer Spacemen 3.

Ladies and Gentlemen is definitely my top pick.... Does that make me cliche?

"Recurring" has some good Spirtualized-ish songs on it too, "Hypnotized" for example.
