I am completely into this band (*coughsignaturecough*).
AND HERE'S A RANDOM STORY Back when I was like 4 or 5, I first heard one of their songs on Cartoon Network. I have liked them ever since.

Did they have a song on the X-Files: Songs in the Key of X album?
I know the name but cannot recall a track.

All three of their releases were great. They're one of the few bands where I think everything they put out was of exactly equal quality. That said, "Screenwriter's Blues" and "Bus to Beelzebub", both of which are from the first album, are easily my two favorite songs by them.
On a side note, I was lucky enough to see them live while they were still around and they put on a hell of a show. |

That is one band I missed live that I would have wished to seen back in the day. Hopefully they reunite at some point.
I remember one of their follow up releases to be rather disapointing, but opinion changes with age, so I'll recheck their material. Screenwriters Blues & Is Chicago not Chicago remain my personal favourite songs. "A man flies a plane into the Chysler building" Kind of eerie lyrics when you think of what happened 8 years down the road. |
