anyone familiar with these guys? I'm 7 tracks deep on Parc Avenue, and it is wonderful. I havent heared their debut but this album is persuading me to go pick that up too. |

I recommended this to adidasss a couple weeks ago or so, as I do tend to agree with you that the first half of the album, if not masterly or anything, is at least pleasant. The second half I digged not half so much as I found it was so very lacking in cohesion that it went beyond the point of mere eclecticism and descended into the territory of mindless incongruous mess.
At the end of the day, though, I'd have to say there is not enough positive on the record to keep me interested. It's a meagre 60%, 70% at best. |

I see what you mean. After listening to the whole thing, I found myself losing interest towards the end. Still a decent record, I just wish the second half grasped my attention the way the first half (especially the first 5 tracks) did.
