Man Man

They just got off of touring with Modest Mouse.

Saw them live at the Opolis (owned by The Starlight Mints) few weeks ago. My mind was blown.

Animal Collective went to the circus and hung out with Captain Beefheart, a lot.

from the two songs you gave me, this band is amazing.

Really intense, love the vocals, definitly need to up an album

Urban Hat€monger ? 06-14-2007 01:48 PM

First time I heard Six Demon Bag I have to say I was very impressed.

This sounds like Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem grew up, found heartbreak, then found booze and wrote sad adult music. I love it.

Their RATM cover is ha ha hawesome

Hells yeah! I've been digging those guys since their first album came out. Funny thing, I live in the city they're from but the only time I've ever seen them live was in Chicago.

Kevorkian Logic 06-28-2007 10:53 AM

yum.

joyboyo53 06-28-2007 02:51 PM

double yum. this is exactly perfect for my ears at this moment in time.

edit - the song van helsing boombox is off the chain. whatever that means.

sleepy jack 11-07-2007 12:48 AM

Man Man

Man Man just released a new album (Rabbit Habbits) and it's amazing :D. They also put on one of the greatest live shows I've ever seen.

ringing-ears 04-14-2008 12:45 PM

i've seen them twice and it was one of the most interesting, intense, eclectic experience.
banging on pots and pans, jumping around, switching instruments, these kids did it all.
like going to a twisted carnival.

hookers with machineguns 04-14-2008 09:31 PM

Saw them w/ Islands :)

All three albums are great and I would love to see these guys again. Absolutely great live.

Phew...finally found this thread by searching google rather than the site search which won't allow a search for such a simple word.

Any thoughts on the new album, Life Fantastic? I haven't heard it yet myself. I would have bought it this weekend but I'm planning to see them live again on Monday so I will buy it directly from them. I'll download it this weekend to get familiar with it.

This band is great - they've become one of my favorites since I saw them live last September.

Why not just type in an old album name?

Sure...that could work too. ;)

I like what I've heard from it a lot, I've only ever really listened to six demon bag before, so i was surprised at how easier this was to listen to.

Sneer 05-14-2011 12:51 PM

Wow, this band is great. Just got hold of Six Demon Bag and I'm enjoying it a lot. Will be delving further.

sidewinder 05-14-2011 10:48 PM

So I downloaded Life Fantastic last night and I'm about done with my second listen today. Not disappointed at all. I think it's a bit more straight-forward than their other 3, but not extremely. Could be that I'm just used to their style. There are some new sounds for them too though, so it's definitely not stale.

justwin 06-06-2011 01:40 AM

This band is awesome, I like their music very much.

Sparky 02-26-2012 09:41 PM

Listened to Life Fantastic and I agree it's certainly more straight forward than their prior stuff. It sounds sorta nick cave-ish(not birthday party or grindermen) which isn't too captivating.

A lot of the frantic energy from Six Demon Bag is absent, which makes for a more melodic listening experience but really doesn't hold my dwindling attention span.

I preferred the crazy gypsy rock

Funny this band should come up right now. I just got two of their albums yesterday and heard them for the first time. Great band, but Rabbit Habbits does seem more structured than earlier work - and I hear you can't beat them live.

Luka 09-12-2012 03:53 PM

Man Man

Since their name is impossible to search because of "man" being an extremely common word, I can't tell if there's already a thread for them.

One of my favorite bands, have a listen, give your thoughts, contribute more music that sounds like them!

Justthefacts 09-16-2012 08:44 PM

Downloading Six Demon Bag currently

Justthefacts 11-10-2012 10:20 PM

Just listened to Six Demon Bag thoroughly today. It's a grower, I think. Have to listen to it again.

Justthefacts 11-21-2012 04:47 PM

I really enjoy Six Demon Bag now.
