I don't think so. To me, it fits in totally with the whole primativist neo-folk thing going on - a movement I have very little patience or taste for. I group Fleet Foxes with outfits like The Ruby Suns, Dodos, High Places... in fact, at least 2 out of 3 of those bands are undoubtedly more innovative and "cutting edge" than Fleet Foxes. Fleet Foxes are just more accessible.
