We. Get. It. We get it. You don't like Fleet Foxes. That doesn't give you free reign to troll threads as you see fit. Perhaps you didn't get the message the first time.

shut the **** up

Give it a rest you've already been told once.

Mate, it's neither funny, intelligent, or anything else, and it does you no credit.

In case you had not noticed, this is a thread about Fleet Foxes. That gives anybody a licence to discuss: Fleet Foxes. That includes discussing the proposition of not liking Fleet Foxes, and giving reasons why. BTW, do you know what 'trolling' is? It's trying to cause disruption and argument through provocation, or flame-baiting. I don't see how discussing what I don't like about Fleet Foxes comes under that, other than the point that you don't like what I have to say. Well tough shit, mate. I see them and VW as lousy bands and I'll put forth my views in detail whenever a discussion calls for it.

I've put off listening to this for a very long time, mainly due to all the annoying hipsters waxing lyrical about them every chance they get.

Having now listened to it, i like it. I think its a good album, mainlt due to the harmonies. I completely disagree with Rainhart saying it lacks heart and soul, that, to me, is tosh.

I wouldnt say its in my top 5 of the year though.

It's in mine.

I was the same and swerved the album for ages mainly for the same reasons as you, until a friend who's opinion I respect had it down as album of the year.
Definitely one of the years best.

Yeah, it's definitely on my Top 5. It's also the only 2008 album I've bothered to purchase.

I think i need to give it a couple more listens. Tiger Mountain Peasant Song, Oliver James, White Winter Hymnal, Quiet Houses and He Doesnt Know Why instantly caught me, but i think i need to appreciate it more as a collective piece

Am I the only one whose favorite song on that album is "Your Protector"?
