You could try the recent release from 2009,
Volcano Choir - Unmap. It's another side-project with some other guys from Wisonsin (some band related to bee's, i'm not familiar with them!). You should check the album though out, I really enjoyed it the first few times I listened and like you I'm not so taken aback by FE,FA. It's sort of experimental ambient music, quite interesting.
