I've been getting into Bon Iver Recently and his vocal ranges are similar to those of TV On The Radio's Tunde Adebimpe.

I think Bon Iver is the name of the band, not of any individual.

Nah it's just one guy: Justin Vernon.

His old bandmates are pretty damn good though, Megafaun rules (Hint hint).

it's not dude, it's an act, which currently consists of about 3 or so people. vernon's just the singer/songwriter.

even if the band is not permanent, then still, referring to 'bon iver' as 'he' or 'him' would be like saying "I really love Nine Inch Nails, he's such a good songwriter". it's not intended as a monicker, in the way that say Eluvium is the monicker of Matthew Cooper. 'Bon Iver' is just the name of the act, like 'LCD Soundsystem'.

You could say that it's a pseudonym for himself and when he tours he uses a backing band. Bon iver sounds like a name instead of a band so you are technically right but the general assumption is that Bon Iver is just one guy.

Anyhow-it's still a great album :)

Why don't I just correct myself and say "Justin Vernon's vocal ranges are similar to those of TV On The Radio's Tunde Adebimpe" and end it there.

Or say that TV On The Radio's Tunde Adebimpe's are similar to Justin 'Motherfuckin' Bon Iver' Vernon's :D
