The Good Life
I made a thread on them awhile ago but now I can't find it. Anyway, Cursive frontman and indie superstar Tim Kasher's side project/basically solo project. It's kind of like Bright Eyes except less whiny. Album of the Year and Help Wanted Nights are beautiful.

Sound pretty good, this has interested me to check them out further.

This comes across a little bland to me....I don't know, maybe I just don't like Tim's voice.
|
sounds good:afro:
|
I totally had forgotten how much I loved this band:love:
But October Leaves sounds just like a Radiohead song Like Tim's voice sounds identical to Thom Yorke's on it And Inmates is the most amazing song ever |
You can tell Conor and Tim Kasher have alot of influence over at Saddle Creek

i like that dissonant guitar bit in 'Heartbroke' especially. Somebody tried to make me enjoy Arab Strap the other day but this would have gone down better. I recommend Screaming Tea Party, they're in a similar vein, approximately half of the time

My friends have been huge Cursive fans for a while and they just now got me into them, which I instantly fell in love. But when I heard that Tim Kasher had another project I got super excited. So I went out and got Album of the Year and Help Wanted Nights. The music and lyrical content is just great. My only complaint is that I have to be in the right mood to listen to it. But, I guess my mood has a huge effect on what music I like and dont like at the time.
But, if you are a Cursive fan or a Bright Eyes fan I say totally check out The Good Life. |
