Default The Good Life

I made a thread on them awhile ago but now I can't find it. Anyway, Cursive frontman and indie superstar Tim Kasher's side project/basically solo project. It's kind of like Bright Eyes except less whiny. Album of the Year and Help Wanted Nights are beautiful.

Recommendations:
Heartbroke
Inmates
Lovers Need Lawyers
You Don't Feel Like Home To Me
Album of the Year

This comes across a little bland to me....I don't know, maybe I just don't like Tim's voice.

I totally had forgotten how much I loved this band

But October Leaves sounds just like a Radiohead song
Like Tim's voice sounds identical to Thom Yorke's on it

And Inmates is the most amazing song ever

i like that dissonant guitar bit in 'Heartbroke' especially. Somebody tried to make me enjoy Arab Strap the other day but this would have gone down better. I recommend Screaming Tea Party, they're in a similar vein, approximately half of the time

My friends have been huge Cursive fans for a while and they just now got me into them, which I instantly fell in love. But when I heard that Tim Kasher had another project I got super excited. So I went out and got Album of the Year and Help Wanted Nights. The music and lyrical content is just great. My only complaint is that I have to be in the right mood to listen to it. But, I guess my mood has a huge effect on what music I like and dont like at the time.

But, if you are a Cursive fan or a Bright Eyes fan I say totally check out The Good Life.
