It took awhile for this to grow on me but I can apperciate it now.. It's really great considering that's not exactly the sound they usually cater to.

Bump.

I just wanted to show my love for this band, I remember the first time I listened to 69 Love Songs, I didn't like it at first and left it for a long time.
Then I decided to listen to it again, and holy shit - they're the most wonderfully crafted Pop songs you could wish for.
Lots of wit, lots of cynicism. What an absolute brilliant album.
The Charm of the Highway Strip is brilliant to.

I love 69 Love Songs but I get annoyed at the fact that people seem to think it's the only album worth getting. All their albums except this year's one have been brilliant.

Wel, it's their piece de le resistance.
It's definitely their best and most daring album, if they got it wrong you'd have a really long dull album but they got it right.
The Charm of the Highway Strip and Holiday aren't too far behind...
But 69 Love Songs is their masterpiece.

I also think Distant Plastic Trees and The Wayward Bus are great, packed full of charm so they are.

I think i is pretty decent as well.
They're quite a good band, I just love 69 Love Songs.
If I have a spare 3 hours and I'm in a mood where I can hold my concentration then it's perfect. So fun, entertaining and charming.
I like how most of their albums have common themes running through them.

I just got Distortion after having been in love with 69 Love songs for about a month. It's good... but it doesn't measure up to 69.

You think you are late? I just started a thread that was started three years ago!

No matter. One of the few living musical geniuses. I'm not sure which song is my favourite but it is probably off 69 lovesongs. If I have to pick one it's The Grand Canyon.
