Death cab for cutie is an all around good band but i find they get very dull fast. They don't have much reach |

They are boring live. They sounded good, but they put no energy into their shows. The crowd just stands there staring. I was on the rail for the show and there was just no excitement in the place at all. It was like being at a funeral. It's ok, the very next night I saw NIN, QOTSA and Autolux and it completely made up for it and washed the bad taste out of my mouth.

I understand. But when 500+ people are literally just standing there not moving a muscle, it's kinda boring and uninteresting. A lot of the songs they did were up beat and it felt like no one was even bouncing their foot to the beat. Actually, I think it's because I saw such a better show the next night that I have this so low on my totem pole of concerts.

Death Cab For Cutie was and still is one of my favorite bands. They have a completely innovative sound. Ben Gibbard's voice is something that is rarely heard, because it is such a soft sound. The only thing I find somewhat offset about this band is how gloomy it is. A good majority of their songs deal with somewhat saddening topics. And when they do attempt a happier subject matter it still comes out gloomy. Overall fantastic band that will go down in indie history.
